For your convenience, we recommend that you keep the following limits and times in mind

Large deposits and cash-in-transit services at a branch

 
  • Large cash deposits will only be accepted on weekdays between 9AM and 3PM.
  • Cash-in-transit collections and deliveries are available on weekdays until 2PM.
 
Please note: We cannot order and keep bulk change for businesses to withdraw over a period. Each order must be collected in full.
 

Coin deposit limits and guidelines

  • If you are a main-banked Nedbank client, you can deposit a maximum of R20,000 coins per day.
  • Third-party depositors (those who deposit coins into a Nedbank accountholder’s account) can deposit a maximum of R5,000 coins per day.

 

As required by the South African Reserve Bank, coins must be packed by denomination and series in coin bags. If these guidelines are not met, we will not be able to process your deposit at our branches.

Important note:

Commercial banks do not have to accept or exchange coins for individuals who have not undergone the know-your-client vetting process for their own clients or customers.
