Cobus De Bruyn
Head of Agriculture Client Value Propositions
I started my banking career in 1998 and have been in the agricultural finance sphere for 29 years. My passions are agriculture, strategy, innovation, and dealing with our clients in the agricultural sector. As Head of Agriculture Client Value Propositions (CVP), I am responsible for managing the CVP Team, enhancing our offering and creating solutions to address the pain points that agricultural businesses experience. It is our front-line staff and great partnerships that help us to execute our CVP successfully. We use our CVP to do good for individuals, businesses, communities and society.

Desry Lesele
Senior Manager: Agriculture Client Value Proposition
I am a chartered accountant by profession and have a master’s degree in finance management and strategy (University of Pretoria), an advanced diploma in emerging markets and country risk analysis (Fordham University, New York), and a postgraduate diploma and honours degree in accountancy (University of Limpopo).
I have more than 8 years of experience in the banking sector. Currently, I am responsible for developing and enhancing the client value proposition for the agricultural sector, which is a field I am deeply passionate about due to its critical role in food security and broader impact on the South African economy.
I work closely with cross-functional teams to design solutions that address the unique challenges faced by agricultural clients, ensuring our offerings are both impactful and sustainable.

Daneel Rossouw
Head of Sales Agriculture
I graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with a B Agric degree in Agricultural Economics and have been involved in agricultural finance since 1991. I currently lead a team of 13 agricultural specialists. This team supports our regional teams all over the country, and provides expert guidance to all agriculture-related requests, ensuring continuity, accessibility, and quick decision-making.
Coming from a farming background, I’ve always had a passion for agricultural finance, and joining Nedbank has given me the opportunity to be part of creating and leading Nedbank’s agric-specific focus within Commercial Banking, which has grown a lot over the past years.
